Limit Zero is a progressive metal band from Bangalore, India. From what started off to be a Shreyas Skandanís bed-room-studio project, Limit Zero hadnít made any significant progress until early 2009. Their first release, a self titled EP got a lot of attention from, at the time, the growing ëprogressive-metalí community around the world. Limit Zeroís sound has often been associated with the ëdjentí term, but they describe their music purely as ëProgressiveí and ëExperimentalí. The self-titled EP was released for free and 250 CDís were printed. In the first few months of release, the EP had reached over 2000 people via free download and Limit Zero slowly made itís mark on the ever-growing metal community. The idea was to eventually evolve into a stable band.
Shiv picked up bass duties while Arjun soon after as guitarist. The lineup was finally complete with the addition of Vatsa as drummer in late 2010.
"The idea behind Limit Zero was to unify various genres and sounds to create one melodic soundscape with a hint of brutality, and a concept that focuses on Space, Gravity and other interstellar uncertainties." ñ Shreyas
They have since been working on their first album. During this period, they decided to part ways with Sachin Rajmohan due to personal reasons. After getting in touch with a few vocalists around the city and country, the album began to make progress again after Sunneith Revankar agreed to record vocals for the album.
The album consists of 9 songs, inclusive of newer versions of the original EP. Mixed and mastered by Keshav Dhar (Skyharbor) , the album features Sunnieth Revankar (Bhayanak Maut/Providence) on vocals and features Siddharth Basrur (Goddess Gagged), and Trevor Marks (Toxic Grind Machine) on guest vocals.
